Your Donations — Matched Dollar for Dollar Until May 15
For our 15th anniversary, we are more determined than ever to keep our foundation strong with a $15,000 membership challenge. We know that powerful forces have a different vision and will do anything to see us fail, but we also know our strength lies in our numbers.
Thanks to the generosity of Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s, every dollar given by May 15th will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000 to meet the challenge. Our monthly sustainers are the backbone of the movement — providing steady, reliable, and dedicated contributions that provide for the long haul — so all new or increased monthly gifts will be matched 2-to-1 to double the impact for the people’s movement here in Vermont.

When I was first asked if I would like to become a monthly sustainer almost three years ago I thought there was no possibly way I could contribute money every month. I had just recently spoke at a People's forum on Healthcare about how I went medically bankrupt because of our healthcare system and how I was just recently laid off from my job. I thought that I would make up for not being able to donate money by donating my time. I then realized that in order for us to grow and continue to do the important work that we we do, we had to support our work as we couldn't rely on others to support us. When I become a monthly sustainer I decided I would buy less of something else to make up for the difference and I have stuck to that and it's truly a great feeling! -Cindy Perron
As a monthly sustainer, I am very appreciative of the hard work and dedication by some of the most passionate organizers who are devoted to a cause that is so very crucial to creating real change for all Vermonters and I feel grateful to help fund the efforts of the VWC and staff. When I look at other states around the country, I feel so fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the Healthcare is a Human Right campaign, the Put People First! the People's Budget campaign and a member of the Vermont Workers' Center. - Denise Rixie
