The Vermont Workers’ Center (VWC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation founded in 1998 as a membership organization. The VWC organizes for economic and social justice in Vermont.
The VWC seeks a part-time Office Administrator to help with the operational and administrative needs of our main office in Burlington. The duties require a consistent, yet flexible schedule of 5-8 hours per week. The person in this position will report to VWC director Kate Kanelstein.
Duties and Responsibilities
Check and sort mail in Burlington office
Answer phone or check office messages, respond to the message
Process incoming donations, new memberships, or other checks for deposit
Scan and send incoming bills to bookkeeper, and liaison with bookkeeper and/or board officers as needed
Pull monthly copier report for invoicing subletters
Data entry for dues, donations, events, etc.
Coordinate and/or write thank you cards
Scan and file other administrative, financial, and board documents as needed
Order supplies and communicate with vendors as needed
We are looking for a candidate who is able to prioritize, work independently, detail oriented, and has good communication skills.
