What: Hundreds of volunteers throughout the state will participate in a canvass day as part of the Put People First Campaign. Our goal is to collect hundreds of surveys to find out what issues are most affecting people during the ongoing economic crisis as well as the crisis that Tropical Storm Irene and this summer's extreme flooding has caused. But we don't just want to find out what the problems are, we want to find out what people think and feel about them and how we can come together as communities and as a state to make sure we build back better based on human rights principles.

Now all over the state we are organizing Occupy Vermont rallies in Solidarity with the protests on Wall Street following our canvass day. After going out and hearing the issues facing our communities, we'll join people all over the country to speak out and call for solutions that put people first.
