Nearly 2,000 FairPoint workers in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine went ON STRIKE on 10/17 because the North Carolina-based company that’s largely owned by Wall Street hedge funds wants to dramatically increase health care costs, freeze pensions, end retiree health care, and turn good dignified jobs into temporary jobs with poverty wages.
This rally is being held by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2326, Communications Workers of America Local 1400, Vermont Workers' Center, Vermont labor unions and community supporters. Register for updates here, and follow Fairness @ Fairpoint on Facebook.
