Kate Kanelstein of the Vermont Workers Center will give a workshop in “Healthcare as a Human Right”

at the Putney Library.
This interactive workshop is an introduction to grassroots organizing. As an orientation to the Healthcare is a Human Right Campaign we'll explore what's going on with healthcare reform in Vermont and what you can do to be a part of it.
Please join us this Thursday, February 17 at 8:00pm for a conference call to hear the Vermont Workers’ Center’s assessment of H. 202, the healthcare reform bill introduced in the State House last week. On the call we will evaluate the bill based on the human right’ principles of universality, equity, accountability, transparency, and participation. Members of our policy committee will use these human rights standards to break down the bill and analyze where improvements need to be made.
