The Vermont Workers' Center was founded in 1998 by a group of low-wage workers in Central Vermont organizing for good jobs and livable wages.
Over the years, VWC members have supported union drives, fought off school closures, walked the picket line, marched against racism and the war economy, and fought for legislation to improve the lives of working people in our state.
Twenty years later, the need for fighting organizations and a culture of solidarity is greater than ever. In May 2018, you helped us ring in our 20th anniversary with a hugely successful crowd fundraiser. Now, it's time to party and celebrate.
Please join us on November 10th for our 20th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Old Labor Hall in Barre (46 Granite St, Barre, Vermont).
Featuring music and dancing, speakers from the VWC past and present, and a delicious meal prepared by VWC members and the People's Kitchen. This is an alcohol- and substance-free, family-friendly event - Feel free to bring your parents and your kids!
