- Do you and your family depend on Medicaid or Dr. Dynasaur?
- Are you a person with a disability who relies on Medicaid to live independently?
- Are you unable to afford dental, vision, or or other care you need?
- Are you unfairly excluded from Medicaid due to immigration status or other reasons?
You are not alone. One in three people in Vermont are on some form of Medicaid (Green Mountain Care) or use a Medicaid-funded service, including half of Vermont's children. Many of us find it hard to get full-time work, and the jobs that exist pay poverty wages with little or no benefits. For so many of us, Medicaid has been a lifeline in uncertain times.
As healthcare costs rise, the federal government is moving to defund and dismantle Medicaid by allowing states to impose work requirements and other obstacles to enrollment. Last year, tens of thousands of Medicaid recipients in states like Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri lost their healthcare after state governments adopted punitive new policies - despite the fact that the majority of Americans support expanding public healthcare to cover everyone as a human right.
Join us on June 8th to protect and expand Medicaid and stand up for the right of all people to live with dignity.
No Cuts to Medicaid! Healthcare Is A Human Right!
